There are two separate leagues in 2008. In both leagues generals will fight each of the other generals in their league once. The Regulars have agreed to fight two battles each month and plan to finish league matches in May. The irregulars will have a more relaxed approach, fighting an average of one battle each month. Each general will therefore have 11 or 13 battles to fight.
You fight each of the generals in your league once. The Scoring system has changed slightly. It's still 3pts for a win, 1pt for a draw and 0pts for a defeat, and VPs for and against are needed to split generals tied on points. However if you manage a Massacre you will be rewarded with two bonus points while a solid victory gets you one bonus point. This is the system they used at the GT this year.
| Result: | Massacre | Solid Victory | Marginal Victory | Draw | Marginal Defeat | Solid Defeat | Massacred |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Points: | 5 | 4 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Unlike the other league, Irregulars can get points even if they don't win a battle, depending on how badly they fared.
